Field View
Field View overlooks the Hall Field at the Western end of the Parish Hall. Field View is ideal for smaller groups up to 40 people to learn a new skill or to hold meetings, training away days, lectures, hobbies and coffee & chat. There is access to the shared commercial grade kitchen from Field View and toilet facilities are available through the Large Hall (when not booked) or externally from the main entrance at the Eastern end.
Maximum number permitted in Field View is 40, however we find a comfortable capacity is 20 to 24 people if seated at tables. There is no additional charge for parking in the Parish Hall private car park (limit of 6 cars per Field View booking).
This room is left in a Boardroom format with four tables in the centre of the room surrounded by 12 to 16 chairs. A further 8 chairs are left stacked in the room. Using this format for your event will minimise set up time before your event and clearing and cleaning time after your event.


Hirers can elect to rearrange the format of Field View for their event. Options used include:
- 1. Standard configuration is meeting room style with up to 16 chairs around 4 tables pushed together (see photo on website).
- 2. The 4 tables can be rearranged with a gap in the centre to enable up to 20 chairs to be seated
- 3. The 4 tables can be arranged class room style with 3 to 5 chairs per table.
- 4. Some tables can then be collapsed to enable a high table (3 to 5 chairs) to face a seated audience of up to 30 people.
- 5. The room can be arranged as a lecture hall with projection onto either of the two internal walls.
- 6. Some groups collapse all tables and arrange the chairs in a circle (typically 12 to 18 chairs).
- 7. Small exercise classes (Yoga, Pilates) clear the floor by stacking the chairs and collapsing the tables or pushing the tables to the wall.
- 8. When hiring the whole building, smaller tables can be moved into Field View from the Large Hall and set up cafe style. This can be useful for children’s parties if the Large Hall is being used for games, disco or, say, a Bouncy Castle.
As the Hall is not staffed we recommend allowing at least 15 minutes either side of the scheduled event time for setup beforehand and returning the room afterwards to its standard configuration as well as cleaning.
Hire for this room is £18 per hour with discounts available for regular users, charities and hirers of the Large Hall if they wish not to share the kitchen for their events. Minimum hire length is 1 hour with additional time charged in 0.5 hour increments.
