George Herbert is a genuine local hero. Vicar of Bemerton in the 17th century; a Poet and a hymn writer. Hear from local Herbert expert, Peter Webster about his work then, and his legacy now

Intrigued? Hope so. What is bread? How do we use it? What does it mean for us and our lives?
6 May – A trio of local artists
Hear Harnham artists Jenny Monds, Margaret Gill and Annaliese Stoney talk about their work and their approaches to it; and take the opportunity to see what is being created in our community.
3 June – Mark Dawson, thriller writer
Mark Dawson is the author of more than fifty thrillers, including the bestselling John Milton, Beatrix Rose, Isabella Rose, Charlie Cooper and Atticus Priest series. Mark draws on both international settings and local history to create fast-paced, character-driven stories and he’s sold over six million copies in multiple languages.

Harnham is changing! For better or worse life in our community is moving on. What is best about it? How can we build community and help each other thrive?
2 September – An evening with Sarum Morris
Explanation, demonstration, and maybe participation! Salisbury’s premier Morris side talk about their dancing and its traditions and show us how it’s done.
7 October – The Harnham Water Meadows
A sustainable landscape with future challenges – How well do you really know our water meadows? Hadrian Cook of the Water Meadows Trust tells us about their past and present – and their future!
4 November – Growing Young Musicians
Steve Abbott, former Lay Clerk of the Cathedral and director of (among others) St. John Singers celebrates the future of music making and, hopefully brings some young singers along to entertain us.
2 December – A Winter Miscellany
“Chiefly yourselves!” Can you bring a piece of music to sing or play; some prose or a poem to read; a dramatic scene presented with some friends; a piece of art to display? All on the theme of winter to close the year.
